Fall 09 school schedule

Ok, so school started last tuesday for me. So I am going to post my new schedule... I am sure none of you out there really care, but it is for my own future enjoyment. (I am doing this assuming I will want to remember this semester..)

Tuesday and Thursdays
9:10 to 10:30 Probablity and Inductive Logic
10:45 to 12:05 Evolution of Human Nature
12:25 to 1:45 Rise of Civilization (this is really a class on social structure of ancient civilizations, so far anyway)

Tuesdays only
7:00 to 9:30 pm 20th Century Continental Philosophy (I am not sure what this class is about yet... but so far it is pretty interesting)

Wednesdays only
2:00 to 5:00 pm Senior Seminar (this is a class that we have to take for my major... a different prof teaches it every semester and this semester we are focusing on Motivation, self and agency, should be interesting)

The new

Well, it was time for a change. So I decided to cut my hair, my very long hair. It was probably the best thing I could have done for my hair, because now a lot of the old coloring is gone and it is SO much healthier. I can feel it and my hair is so much shinnier then it used to be... and I love shinny hair. So I decided to show everyone my cute new hair. I acutally really like it... it makes me feel like an adult, a professional, someone who can be respected... not just a little kid. It is good. Let me know what you think... and be honest. I need to know if I should just let it grow or if I should keep it this length for a while. :)

This is a picture I took on campus one day when I as walking from trax to a journal meeting. I just looked over and thought, I am so lucky to go to school somewhere that is SO beautiful. I love it. Anyway I hope you like this great picture. :)

Vancouver: part 1

I wanted to give my mom a little vacation, so I planned a trip for us to go visit one of the schools that I want to go to in North Carolina. But, the flights filled up and we couldn't get there, so we decided to go somewhere else. We went to Vancouver, because my mom wanted a stamp in her passport. We had fun, but it didn't feel like much of a vacation, because it was short and ended up costing A LOT of money. While, I liked Vancouver, there are many other places I would rather go. It was kinda cool to see all the things they are doing to get ready for the olympics, so I enjoyed that. I am not a traveler that goes to see big cities, Vancouver is like many other cities here in the U.S. and I am a traveler that likes to see history and gorgeoue landscapes, which all came with Italy and Ireland. So, it wasn't my favorite. But I think if we went again, we would go in the slow season, rent a car and drive to Victoria or Whistler (the big mountain in Vancouver that they are hosting the Olymipcs at). Oh, well it was a good experience, until I got stuck in the Vancouver airport over night. I gave my mom, my seat so that she could get home and get to work, and I slept in the FREEZING cold airport until the next morning when I could catch a flight out. It is amazing that got any sleep that night. It was a new experience and one that I am glad I experienced... but I wasn't so glad while it was happening. Oh well, I am home now, safe and happy that I went to Vancouver. :)

Kenny, Miranda, Lady Antebellum

So, I have a few things to post about... but I think I am only going to do this one for now. Chelsea and I went to the Kenny Chesney concert at the end of July, it was pretty good time. We went to see Sugarland, but they lead singer lost her voice, so they ended up not playing. I am not the biggest fan of Kenny Chesney, but at the end of his set he played some old school rock songs, some America and Journey and Sublime (not so old school... but good enough). It was AWESOME, it made sitting there in the heat waiting all day worth it. :) And at the end of the night he played a montage of things from Utah, and he supports the U. Gotta love anyone that supports the U. Here are some pics from the night.

It's Ready!

Our website has launched for the Journal! It looks great, I think for not having any experience at this, but check it out. I am so excited about this I can't even put it into words. Now we just need to get our names out there and we can just wait for the submissions to roll in!!!!
