Demolition Derby

On sunday, my sister and I decided to invite a bunch of our friends to go to the demolition derby at the Utah State fair. My sister and I have been working at the fair selling churros and apple fries for the last week, so it was fun to go and enjoy the fair. This was the first heat of the night and it was one of the worst crashes, but it was also one of the ones that ended the quickest. :)

These are also pictures of my friend beau (he is just a friend for those of you that like to jump to conclusions) and the other picture is of me and my friend lynnie from work! we had sooo much fun enjoying the navajo tacos and the funnel cakes all night long!

School....

So school started about 2 weeks ago and it is already kicking my butt! I am going to school 5 days a week which has proven to be a really tough adjustment for me! I am used to going to school 2 days a week... now that it is 5 days, it is even harder to get myself out the door.

I am really excited about the classes that I am taking! They are all making me realize how much I LOVE philosophy and that is really was a great major for me to choose. I am taking Ancient Greek Philosophy, which i love because it is the basis for a lot of what we believe today, including our system of government (in lu of the pending election). I am also taking Mind language reality, this class is really fun because of my teacher, I love her teaching style and her attitude about the subject. The next class is Justice and International affairs, my professor is from France (I am pretty sure that is the accent that I have become so used to) and he is very versed in his international affairs. He is fun to listen to, even though he goes off on his tangents every once in a while. The last class that I am taking in online. It is bioethics (which is the ethics involved in the health care industry), this class is interesting because my sister is in nursing school and one of my greatest friends is in PA school in Billings, MT. It is teaching me all of the things that they will deal with on a semi-daly basis. These classes are philosophy based and they are all so fun, but are requiring a very large amount of my free-time. I am going to have to go part-time at work if I am going to make it through next semester. It has already been hard enough to get school work done and i am not even working full-time hours right now!

Anyway... I just wanted to give everyone an update on school so that I dont have to repeat myself anymore. :) I am very excited to be at the U of U, I finally feel like I am working towards something, not stuck in the dead end that is SLCC. I hope everyone that is in school is awesome! and for everyone else have a great school-free fall!!!

ps I want to wish good luck to my cousin Mike... GOOD LUCK ON YOUR TEST! i know you will do amazing!!!!

My favortie little cousin (well second cousin)

This is a picture of me and bridgie! he is just adorable and i love him to pieces. He is always so happy and full of energy. And most of all he loves the outdoors, water and his amazing parents.

Jami and mike are his parents and they are some of the best parents i know, they spend so much quality time with bridger and his new little brother foster, who is adorable!!! I just wanted everyone to know how much i admire their cute little family and how i love when they come to visit us!

MAXINE's return, with a little advice!

San Diego... in a DAY!

On friday, my friend lynnsi and i decided that we wanted to go to San Diego, so we hopped on a plane and spent the day in perfect weather and even more beautiful scenery. We took the public bus from the airport to downtown and walked around the outdoor mall and some other parts of the gas lamp district (and we used cute hotels for their bathrooms). After that we decided that we wanted to take the ferry to Coronado. So we bought a round trip on the ferry and set off for beautiful beaches and the ocean.
When we got to coronado, we got some amazing greek food and layed on the beach for a little while. We relaxed and enjoyed the slightly cooler temperatures!!! about an hour before we needed to head back to the airport we decided that we wanted to see the ocean, instead of just the San Diego Bay, although beautiful, one of the reasons we went to SAN was to see the ocean. So we took the bus to the other side of the island to Hotel Del Coronado and spent some time on the white beaches by the ocean. We decided that we didnt have enough time to make it to the ferry so we took the city bus back to the mainland. (while on the bridge back to SAN, we were so close to the edge, I was boarderlining hyperventilation while we were traveling over it. While I dont have problems with airplanes, heights send me into a heart palpitating FIT!) After we switched buses, we were on our way to the airport and making perfect time, until the bus driver didnt stop at our last stop!!!! In a panic we got off on the next stop and ran across the street to the commuter terminal to get on the terminal to terminal shuttle. We checked in at 35 minutes to departure and did everything we could to cut lines in security!!! (for those of you who have worked in the airline business, you understand what 35 minutes to departure usual means) This was the last flight of the night and we HAD to be home tonight. So we ran through the terminal and made it to our flight just in the nick of time... we almost missed it!!!! it was a crazy experience and a crazy rush, but we had soooo much fun!!! i hope that lynnsi and i can go somewhere again soon!!!!!!

ENJOY!

This is lynnsi and I waiting for the bus at the airport and the skyline from Coronado!

these were our feet in the sparkly sand beaches and also me and lynnsi in front of the San Diego skyline

Vegas BABY!

A couple of weekends ago my friends Val, mike and i decided to go to Vegas for a few days. So we packed up and headed south. We had a really good time. We stayed at my mom's house the drive there was super fun! it was late because we went after i got off work and then we drove through till about 3 am when we made it to our destination.
I decided that people shouldn't be a loud to drive late at night... unless its me of course. some crazy person almost hit us head on ON THE FREEWAY just outside Cedar city... it was sooooooooooooo scary!!!!! ANyways here are just a few pictures from out fun!
Val Starting off our drive and after the long night of being awake!

Squils

Grandpa, Grandma and I love to watch the new additions to our family! they are the 4 or 5 baby squirrels that live in our back yard. They love to play in the bushes and eat grandma's flowers!! We have tried everything to keep them from eating the flowers but they just love to eat the greens of the flowers. We have put out peanuts and they love to eat those too. It is so cute when mama squirrel comes and gets the peanuts to feed the babies.. you can see them sticking out both sides of her mouth. Grandpa claims that we have baby quial too, but grandma and I are skeptical cause neither of us have seem them. I hope you enjoy seeing our babies as much as we do!!!!

Look how cute my babies are!!!! i love to watch them play in the back yard.
