MAUI!!!

Chelsea and I had a break from school and she has always wanted to go to Hawaii so, we decided to go. A friend of mine from work had a condo she had paid for to accommodate her whole family, then she found out that he family didn't want to stay with her... so she said we could stay with her. It was an opportunity that I could NOT pass up. So we flew to Maui on May 9th. We stayed until the 11th. It was a great trip. WE hung out at the beach, explored a little. Chelsea and I went on a snorkeling trip, but we don't have pictures from that yet... when I get them, I will post them :) We stayed in Kiehi, it was amazing! the view from our room was breathtaking. We went to Lahaina too, it was beautiful and fun to walk down the road along the ocean. Anyway, we had a great and relaxing trip! I can't wait to go again... this time we will go to Kauai! Here are some pictures from our trip, ENJOY!

Me on the beach in Keihi and the warf in Lahaina

While I am sitting here taking a break from the grind of studying... I decided to see if my computer would upload pictures to this silly blog. And what do ya know... IT WORKED!!!! So I decided to put up some picture from March.. my birth month. It was a pretty exciting month! I went to Las Vegas to see my mother for spring break (which was much needed and welcomed relaxation!). A friend of mine, Lynnsi came with my sister and I. We flew down to St. George and hopped in the car for the hour and a half drive to Las Vegas. On the way home we almost missed the flight because we HAD to go to In-n-Out Burger. It was delicious... but it put new meaning to fast food.
For my birthday, which is always the week after spring break. I decided to celebrate with a friend of mine, because her birthday is the day after mine. But she is a year older then me. So that makes her 364 days older then I. Instead of celebrating on my birthday or hers, we decided to celebrate on the 27th. We went to the Bayou and had lunch with some great friends, then we went to this bar (I don't actually remember the name). It was a pretty nice place, we played pool, danced and hung out with some great friends!
On my actual birthday, I skipped school and spent most of the day with my sister. She gave me the rice cooker that i have been wanting for MONTHS and twilight the movie and the cd. I greatly appreciated her and loved that she was able to spend the day with me. We ate dinner and watched twilight. It was fun. After I got home some of my friends from work came over to play games. A friend of mine really wanted to play Clue, I searched my whole house and could not find it anywhere. So I called up to my aunt and they were willing to lend me their copy. Except their copy was from Australia, so it was called Cluedo. It was really fun. I have some great friends that were willing to drive all the way to Centerville to hang out with me. I really appreciated it.
April has been a month full of school and family matter. I have posted about the family happenings already. And I still just want them to know how much we love them and enjoy their company. I hope that they are doing ok.
On the school note. It is finals week and I have been studying for the majority of the day. I have 2 of my finals down and 3 to go. One more paper to write and 2 tests. Wish me luck. I am taking a fun trip next weekend, so I will post about that when I am done! I love you all and i hope that everything is going great! I have posted some pictures for you to see how much fun my birth month was!

This is a picture of all the girls from my work that are great friends! The next one is of Alex and myself (the birthday girls!)!

This is Dani and I at the bar. Then this is Leslie, me, Aaron and Cody! Some of my favorite people!

This is my two favorite girls and I!! (Lynnsi and Angelic). And of course the proof that my sister and I cannot take normal pictures!

A decision a Parent should never have to make...

Today has been a difficult end to a hard week for my cousin Tagen and her husband. Last night they got the results of the MRI on their sweet baby boy Paul. The results said that he had sever brain damage and would never be able to move or to speak. My cousins made a decision that I am convinced NO parent should ever have to make.
This morning my family went down to the NICU and gave baby Paul a blessing and said our goodbyes to this little (big) boy who blessed all of our lives for this short week that he was with us. A tearful and loving group came together to support and comfort our cousins, daughter, son, granddaughter, brother and sister in this hard time in their lives. They have shown us that with love we can make difficult decision and know that the decision is the right one for our family and us. I have never met anyone who could make such a hard decision and still be graceful and thankful and loving all at the same time. They are an example to us all, that love and family can get us through anything, not matter how hard it may be.
We love you Tagen and Eric and are here for you if and when you need support in this difficult time. I am blessed to have you both in my life and to have met your sweet baby Paul while he was with us.

Just a little prayer...

Over the last week my cousin and her husband have been through something that no parent should ever have to experience. Their new baby is in the NICU in very critical condition. We are trying to help and support my cousins through this difficult time, by letting them know we are here for them. To all of my friends on here that are not family already, please say a prayer for my cousins. They are spending as much time at the hospital as they possibly can. Check out Paul (the baby's) story at paulthefighter.blogspot.com. And if you get a moment, say a prayer for this poor baby and his loving parents.

Frustration...

I know that it has been along time since I have posted anything. But I have tried, I cannot get the blog to upload all of my fun pictures from March. So I am giving up until school is out. I have tried and tried and I just get to impatient and frustrated that I just cannot do it anymore. But I will put more effort into it when school is over for the semester. So, don't give up on me, I will post more soon. :(

Just something funny :)

WORDS WOMEN USE:
1- Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2- Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
3- Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
4- Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
5- That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
6- Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').
7- Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to #3.

Tampa, FL in January

My friend Lynnsi and I decided to take a little vacation to the sun before school started. So on the 9th of January, we went to Tampa, FL. The first day was very uneventful. We walked around a little, bought ice cream, and ate at 5 guys. We were really far from any beach, so we just hung out in our hotel room. The next morning we decided to rent a car and drive to the beach. Which was about 10 miles away. It was GORGEOUS and the weather ended up being perfect to lay in the sun, even though the water was REALLY cold. We had so much fun. Just relaxing and seeing the beach that I LOVE! Here are some pictures from our mini vacation. We were on the Gulf of Mexico, so I still haven't put my feet in the atlantic ocean, but I will. I hope you enjoy! I can't wait for warmer weather and the sun! I am tired of winter... BRING ON SPRING!

Here is a picture of the beach we layed on... the sand was really hard.. but it was fun. Here are my white feet. Lynnie and I always take this pic and my feel are always the white ones.

Here are some pictures of me and lynnie on the beach. I LOVE IT. We are sitting under a cabana in one of them. We thought they were free. Then this guy walked by and said it was 25 dollars an hour or something stupid like that. We hurried and got up, there was no way we were going to pay that much!

Another shot of the beach. The other picture is one of the bay, between this little island we were on and Tampa. It was gorgeous.

And last, but not least are pictures of lynnie and I waiting for our shuttle to the hotel at the Tampa International Airport. This airport was a lot bigger then I thought it was going to be. Lynnie and I always have fun when we go on these little trips! I hope we can go again soon!
