This is how i feel some mornings... But then I remember that I have to work later today... and I think... maybe it would have been better to stay in bed!
I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. -Marilyn Monroe

IRELAND!!!!
I got home from Ireland on Monday night! It was the best time and we had so much fun! I definitely was not ready to come home! My friend April and I are going to buy a house there together and make it like a time share between us, when we are both rich! We were there for 3 full days.... and we drove all over the country!!! Down the south border and over to a castle called the Birr Castle which is in the middle of the country. We really wanted to go up to Northern Ireland, but they didnt accept the Euro, so we decided to save that for the next trip. I haven't had a chance to edit all of my pictures, so I will blog about this again later. But it was so much fun! And I hope that everyone will get the chance to experience this awesome country! Here are some of the other pictures that we took, i will blog more later!
(in the picture above, we are in the square at Dublin Castle in the picture is Beau, me, Lynnsi and April)

a bachelorette party for the books!
So my best friend is getting married on the Thursday, October 16th (that is just a few days away for all those who are wondering). Well since I am her maid of honor, i took it on myself to plan her bridal shower/bachelorette party (ps i will never do it again). We had a bridal shower first for all those who would not want to join us for the main event, which was.... (drum roll please)... a pole dancing class. With 2 instructors that were there for 2 hours just to teach us (there were 11 of us in the end) how to pole dance. it was the GREATEST workout i have ever had and i want to do it again for a work out. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and we all had a great time. It is a great way to learn something new (and it doesnt have to be something that is taboo... just a fun way to learn something new). My friend had a great time and in the end all the stress for both of us was worth it. I am going to post some pictures... here they are!
For those of you who are picture takers... you understand of course that it is hard to get pictures taken of you... so i added a group pic and one of me and another bridesmaid of jenasie's, natalie (I took if you couldn't tell). There is also one of jenasie swingin around the pole... it was so much fun!

Dante's Inferno
one of my friends from school is taking a class on Dante's Inferno and he told me about this website that tells which level of hell (according to Dante) you will be in. Apparently I will be in limbo... doesn't sound too bad really. Hanging with Socrates, Aristotle and some of the other great philosophers.
Here is the description of Limbo...
Charon ushers you across the river Acheron, and you find yourself upon the brink of grief's abysmal valley. You are in Limbo, a place of sorrow without torment. You encounter a seven-walled castle, and within those walls you find rolling fresh meadows illuminated by the light of reason, whereabout many shades dwell. These are the virtuous pagans, the great philosophers and authors, unbaptised children, and others unfit to enter the kingdom of heaven. You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad.
The Dante's Inferno Test has sent you to the First Level of Hell - Limbo!
Here is how you matched up against all the levels:
Take the Dante's" Divine Comedy Inferno Test
For those of you that might be interesting in taking this test also... beware it asks some very personal questions... but remember... if you don't answer honestly you wont get an accurate description. I think its funny... and being a Philosophy major, its interesting to me also!

Demolition Derby
On sunday, my sister and I decided to invite a bunch of our friends to go to the demolition derby at the Utah State fair. My sister and I have been working at the fair selling churros and apple fries for the last week, so it was fun to go and enjoy the fair. This was the first heat of the night and it was one of the worst crashes, but it was also one of the ones that ended the quickest. :)
These are also pictures of my friend beau (he is just a friend for those of you that like to jump to conclusions) and the other picture is of me and my friend lynnie from work! we had sooo much fun enjoying the navajo tacos and the funnel cakes all night long!

School....

So school started about 2 weeks ago and it is already kicking my butt! I am going to school 5 days a week which has proven to be a really tough adjustment for me! I am used to going to school 2 days a week... now that it is 5 days, it is even harder to get myself out the door.
I am really excited about the classes that I am taking! They are all making me realize how much I LOVE philosophy and that is really was a great major for me to choose. I am taking Ancient Greek Philosophy, which i love because it is the basis for a lot of what we believe today, including our system of government (in lu of the pending election). I am also taking Mind language reality, this class is really fun because of my teacher, I love her teaching style and her attitude about the subject. The next class is Justice and International affairs, my professor is from France (I am pretty sure that is the accent that I have become so used to) and he is very versed in his international affairs. He is fun to listen to, even though he goes off on his tangents every once in a while. The last class that I am taking in online. It is bioethics (which is the ethics involved in the health care industry), this class is interesting because my sister is in nursing school and one of my greatest friends is in PA school in Billings, MT. It is teaching me all of the things that they will deal with on a semi-daly basis. These classes are philosophy based and they are all so fun, but are requiring a very large amount of my free-time. I am going to have to go part-time at work if I am going to make it through next semester. It has already been hard enough to get school work done and i am not even working full-time hours right now!
Anyway... I just wanted to give everyone an update on school so that I dont have to repeat myself anymore. :) I am very excited to be at the U of U, I finally feel like I am working towards something, not stuck in the dead end that is SLCC. I hope everyone that is in school is awesome! and for everyone else have a great school-free fall!!!
ps I want to wish good luck to my cousin Mike... GOOD LUCK ON YOUR TEST! i know you will do amazing!!!!
