MINNESOTA

I went to Minnesota about a week ago to visit a very good friend of mine jesse. He just got out of the Air Force and moved back home to Burnsville, MN. I figured since I am his only friend that can fly at my leisure... I might as well go visit him and see a state that I have never been to. So we had a full three and half days for him to show me Minneapolis and some other parts of Minnesota. We went to Uptown first and saw Lake Calhoun. Uptown had many walls with this type of art on them, show the culture of this "rich" part of Minneapolis.

I also watched Jesse play softball with his mom's work softball team.

My favorite part of the trip was seeing the animals at the Minnesota zoo!! they weren't as exotic as the San Diego Zoo, or even the zoo here in Salt Lake. But they were still fun. The baby monkey was my favorite... SOOOOO cute!! Then the tigers, they have always been one of my favorites. The Bald Eagle had a broken wing but was still amazing, definitely one of the most beautiful animals out there, so graceful and sophisticated. The wolfs were cool and the puma was fun. We had an amazing time.
We also went to some interesting restaurants, the Buffalo Wild Wings was my favorite! We also went to Old Chicago, they had great pizza, the the Loring Pasta Bar in Dinkytown, which is the University of Minnesota's campus. The last night we went to downtown Minneapolis, and we had dinner at this restaurant called O'Donovans, the BEST BLT I have ever had! Our waiter was actually from Ireland, so I had to ask him if Irish girls really have red hair and blue eyes, because they is the most comment I get is.. you must be Irish. He informed me, that the red heads actually came from the Vikings that took over Northern Ireland and that real Irish girls have very dark hair and light eyes. So, for all those that ask me again... I DONT really look like I am irish. Haha.
I had a great time in Minnesota even though it was so tiring. I will have to go back again, since I have a free place to stay. I recommend it to everyone!!!!

Sounds like a lot of fun. My brother and his wife live in Minnesota, and Jordan and I are going to visit them in August. We'll have to talk to you before then so you can tell us some of the things we need to do while we're there.
